I made this over the holiday weekend and it was a hit. One suggestion taste the peaches, if they’re juicy and sweet scale down the sugar.
I’m gonna do half with blueberries and half without. I’m not a big fan, but my hubby is
Made these tonight. Great flavor, but I halved the recipe and should have used four ramekins instead of three. Otherwise, the blueberries overflow around the crumble.
Also made this for 4th of July. I made it in one large casserole dish instead of separate servings. There was definitely not enough a topping. It looked like enough when I covered the crisp but when it cooked there was barely any left. I loved the flavors but would definitely double the topping.
I will be making this in another week, and I am looking forward to be able to use the fresh summer peaches for this recipe! Thanks for all of the tips, keep them coming!
I made mine in one big pan too. I added some cherries and did double the blueberries. I had to double the topping and bake it for about 45 minutes. It was DELICIOUS with ice cream!
I have been eyeing this dessert for sometime, now that the fresh peaches are at the market I look forward to trying it. Will add more blueberries because they are in season now to.
blueberries and fresh peaches are hard to find here in the province so I had to make do with apples
Has anyone had success with fruits other than peaches and blueberries? I don’t really like either, but would love to try this recipe!
i would think you could easily subsitute any stone fruit/berry combo.
i’d like to try this with blackberries!
made this last thurs night for a summer dinner party and it was a HUGE hit! wouldn’t change a thing.
Haven’t made this one yet… but great suggestions!! looks yummy!
Melissa—I made something similar to this recipe with Plum & Raspberry (from her Barefoot in Paris). It was delicious as well!
Whew! I made this sooo long ago, but I’m just now getting my post up. This was a very tasty summer dessert. I really enjoyed this recipe
