  1. I made these last winter, and the orange flavor was pretty weak. This time around, I’m definitely going to amp it up and tinker with the glaze.

  2. I have never made scones (and I heart them big time) so I can’t wait to make these!

  3. First time ever to make scones, and they were not as difficult as I thought they would be. I read reviews of the recipe before baking and noted the weak orange flavor, so I increased the orange zest a bit. They turned out tender and flavorful.

  4. I just made them, and they were easy and great. I agree the orange flavor needs to be amped up, but they were wonderful. I can’t wait to try them with different flavor combinations.

  5. I am probably going to make these Monday or Tuesday night. I haven’t made this particular recipe before but I had already planned on upping the orange factor and I’m glad I read these reviews to confirm my decision.

  6. I’m going to make these today and I also have never made scones before, so I’m quite excited to!

  7. These were great, the recipe makes a huge batch of gorgeous, delicious scones! The orange flavor was a little low for me too, but still delicious 🙂

  8. I made these yesterday and they are SO good! The orange flavor was good for us, I accidentally added 4 tablespoons instead of 4 teaspoons!!

  9. thoughts on using blueberries (fresh) in place of the cranberries? DH isn\’t a fan of cranberries and i have a pint of blueberries to use up. i\’m just not sure how the combo of blueberries and orange would work.

  10. I think the blueberries would be great in these, I recently made some lemon blueberry scones and they were wonderful! I am starting to think I prefer fresh fruit to dried in scones…

  11. I’m thrilled to see so many of you are participating in this month’s bonus recipe! Scones are among my favorites so I make them quite often… though this is my first time trying Ina’s recipe.

Can’t wait to see your results!!!
